Lenovo IdeaPad Z560 Drivers for Windows 7 (32-bit & 64-bit)

Article updated: October 12, 2026

Lenovo logo for IdeaPad Z560 driver guide

This guide organizes legacy Lenovo IdeaPad Z560 driver packages for Windows 7. It includes audio, chipset, graphics, touchpad, card reader, wired networking, wireless networking, Bluetooth, and BIOS packages from Lenovo's download servers.

The right package depends on the installed Windows architecture and the hardware fitted to your particular Z560 configuration. The model was supplied in more than one configuration, so you should not install every item simply because it appears in the list.

Quick installation order: check Windows architecture first, install the chipset package, then the matching graphics and network drivers, followed by audio, touchpad, and card reader drivers. Restart when an installer requests it.

Before downloading

  • Confirm 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7. Open Start → right-click Computer → Properties and check System type.
  • Identify the hardware. Open Device Manager and check the names under Display adapters, Network adapters, Bluetooth, and Sound, video and game controllers. Use only a package that matches the actual device.
  • Get online if network drivers are missing. Download the relevant files on another computer and transfer them using a USB drive, if necessary.
  • Windows 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft. It no longer receives normal security updates. Use a supported operating system for internet-connected use when the hardware and application requirements allow it.

How to choose the correct driver

Graphics: Intel, NVIDIA, or AMD

Check Device Manager → Display adapters before installing graphics packages. Use the Intel package only when it matches the Intel graphics component; install NVIDIA or AMD software only if your unit has the corresponding graphics hardware and the Lenovo package supports it. Do not install all graphics packages as a bundle.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

IdeaPad Z560 configurations may use different wireless cards. Check the adapter manufacturer in Device Manager, then select the matching Intel or multi-vendor wireless package. Broadcom Bluetooth is relevant only for a compatible Broadcom Bluetooth device. WiMAX is an optional legacy component and is not needed on systems without the corresponding hardware.

Touchpad and card reader

Install the touchpad package if the pointing device is missing advanced features or is not detected. Install the card reader driver only when the built-in reader is present and needs a driver. Avoid reinstalling a working driver without a specific reason.

BIOS update safety

The BIOS files are firmware utilities, not ordinary device drivers. Update BIOS only when the update is appropriate for the exact machine or resolves a specific issue. Connect the AC adapter, ensure the battery is charged, close applications, and never interrupt the update. If the laptop is functioning normally, a BIOS update may not be necessary.

Troubleshooting

  • Installer says the device is unsupported: verify the model, Windows architecture, and hardware IDs in Device Manager.
  • No wireless connection after installation: check the exact wireless adapter and try the matching vendor package rather than installing every WLAN driver.
  • Brightness keys do not work: install the chipset and compatible graphics driver first; use the brightness patch only if appropriate for your configuration.
  • Display resolution is incorrect: confirm that the correct Intel, NVIDIA, or AMD driver is installed and that it matches the installed Windows architecture.
  • Download link is unavailable: search the executable filename or driver name on Lenovo Support. Older files may be moved or removed over time.

Lenovo IdeaPad Z560 Driver FAQ

Can I use these packages on Windows 10 or Windows 11?

This page is specifically organized for Windows 7. Some legacy packages may fail or may not be appropriate on newer Windows versions. Check Lenovo Support and Windows Update for drivers compatible with your operating system.

Do I need to install every wireless driver listed?

No. Identify your wireless adapter first and install only the package that matches the installed hardware. WiMAX is optional and applies only to compatible hardware.

Should I update the BIOS along with the drivers?

Not automatically. BIOS updates carry more risk than ordinary driver updates. Confirm the exact model and reason for updating, then follow Lenovo's instructions carefully.

Why are there separate 32-bit and 64-bit downloads?

Windows drivers and firmware update utilities can be architecture-specific. Select the same architecture as the installed Windows version and never mix the separate graphics or BIOS executables.
