Lenovo G580 Drivers for Windows 7 & Windows 8.1 (32/64-bit)
Last updated: October 12, 2026
Find legacy Lenovo G580 driver packages for Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) and Windows 8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit). The list includes audio, graphics, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, touchpad, chipset and USB drivers with package versions, file sizes and official Lenovo download links.
Choose the exact Windows edition and system type before downloading. Several G580 configurations use different wireless, audio and graphics hardware, so not every package applies to every laptop.
Lenovo G580 specifications
The original source lists this example configuration. The G580 was sold in multiple configurations, so these specifications should not be treated as the exact specification of every unit.
- Processor
Intel Core i5-3210M, 3rd generation - Chipset
Mobile Intel HM76 Express - Memory
8 GB DDR3-1600 - Display
14-inch class HD display, 1366 × 768 (configuration dependent) - Integrated graphics
Intel HD Graphics 4000 - Battery listed
48 Wh, 6-cell lithium-ion
Before downloading drivers
- Confirm your Windows version and bitness. In Windows, open Control Panel → System or Settings → System → About and check the system type. A 32-bit graphics package cannot replace its 64-bit counterpart.
- Identify your hardware. Open Device Manager and check Display adapters, Network adapters, Sound, video and game controllers and Bluetooth. G580 models can ship with different suppliers’ components.
- Download on another computer if necessary. If Wi-Fi or Ethernet is not working after reinstalling Windows, use another PC and transfer the installer with a USB drive.
- Prefer official packages. All download buttons below point to Lenovo’s download domain. You can cross-check model compatibility on the official Lenovo G580 driver list.
Choose your operating system
The list filters to packages matching your selected Windows version. Graphics packages are separated by bitness.

Windows 8.1 chipset: Lenovo lists the Intel chipset component as an inbox driver supplied with Windows 8.1; no separate chipset installer is required according to Lenovo’s support note.
Chipset
Install chipset identification software first so Windows can correctly identify motherboard components.

Added after checking Lenovo’s official Windows 7 driver listing.
DownloadAudio
The G580 family may use different audio hardware. Choose the driver matching the audio device in Device Manager; do not install both audio packages unless Lenovo documentation for your exact machine calls for it.
Bluetooth
Use the Bluetooth package that matches your installed wireless/Bluetooth module. The device may be supplied by different vendors.

The wired LAN and wireless packages are not interchangeable. Identify the adapter first and install only a compatible package. Intel WiMAX is optional and applies only when the hardware is present.

Optional: install only if your device includes Intel WiMAX hardware.
DownloadUSB
This legacy Intel USB 3.0 package is listed for Windows 7. Keep a copy of installers locally before beginning a clean installation.
Intel USB 3.0 Driver
DownloadRecommended driver installation order
- On Windows 7, install the Intel chipset driver first and restart.
- Install the Intel graphics driver matching 32-bit or 64-bit Windows.
- Install the NVIDIA graphics driver only if your G580 has the NVIDIA GPU.
- Install audio, Ethernet/Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers that match the installed hardware.
- Install the touchpad driver and, on Windows 7, the Intel USB 3.0 package if needed.
- Restart and check Device Manager for any remaining unknown devices.
How to identify the correct driver
Wi-Fi and Ethernet
Open Device Manager → Network adapters. If the wireless device is Intel, use the Intel Wireless LAN package listed for that OS. If its description identifies Atheros, Liteon or Broadcom, use the corresponding supported package instead. The Atheros LAN package is for wired Ethernet, not Wi-Fi. Do not install all network drivers indiscriminately.
Intel or NVIDIA graphics
Check Device Manager → Display adapters. Intel HD Graphics 4000 is integrated graphics. The NVIDIA packages apply only to G580 configurations with the discrete NVIDIA graphics option. Match the operating system architecture exactly.
Realtek or Conexant audio
The G580 model family was offered with different audio configurations and Windows releases have different packages. Check the audio device’s name in Device Manager, and use the matching Realtek or Conexant package from the selected OS list.
Bluetooth and optional WiMAX
Bluetooth packages cover several wireless-module vendors. Intel WiMAX is a separate legacy mobile-broadband technology and should be installed only if the hardware is present; most users will not need that package.
Common installation problems
The installer says the device is not supported. What should I do?
Confirm both the Windows version and 32/64-bit architecture. Then check the device vendor and hardware ID in Device Manager. A package for another G580 configuration may be rejected.
Why are there two graphics drivers?
Intel HD Graphics is the integrated graphics controller. Some G580 variants also have a separate NVIDIA GPU. Install the Intel package for the correct OS bitness first, and add the NVIDIA package only when that GPU is listed in Device Manager.
Should I install every wireless driver?
No. Choose only the wireless package that matches the adapter. Installing unrelated vendor packages is unnecessary and may create conflicts.
Can I use these drivers on Windows 10 or Windows 11?
This list is organized for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 only. Do not assume that an older package is compatible with Windows 10 or Windows 11. Check the exact hardware ID and Lenovo’s support information before trying a legacy driver on a newer OS.
What if a direct download no longer works?
Search by the package filename on the official Lenovo G580 driver page. Lenovo may reorganize older download links, so a listed package may not always remain available.
