Dell Inspiron 15R N5110 Drivers for Windows 7 & 8 (64-bit)
The Dell Inspiron 15R N5110 is a 15.6-inch laptop from 2011, built on the Intel HM67 Express chipset with 2nd-generation Intel Core processors. Dell no longer sells it, but the original drivers are still hosted on Dell’s own servers. This page keeps only the drivers that matter for Windows 7 and Windows 8 (64-bit), explains which graphics and Wi-Fi package fits your unit, and gives a safe install order, so you don’t have to guess between look-alike files.

The N5110 shipped with different graphics and wireless cards, so not every driver below applies to your laptop. These drivers are for 64-bit Windows only. To check, right-click Computer > Properties and read System type. Then open Device Manager and look at:
- Display adapters: you will see Intel HD Graphics 3000 and, on many units, a second entry such as NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M or an AMD Radeon HD chip. Install the Intel driver plus the one dedicated driver that matches.
- Network adapters: the Wi-Fi card is an Intel Centrino card or a Dell Wireless 1701, 1702 or 1502 card. Dell Wireless 1701 and 1702 cards also provide Bluetooth.

Recommended install order
- Chipset and, on Windows 7, the USB 3.0 driver.
- Intel HD Graphics 3000, then your dedicated graphics driver if you have one.
- Audio.
- LAN, then Wi-Fi / Bluetooth.
- Touchpad and card reader.
- BIOS last, and only if you need it.
Restart when an installer asks you to. Following this order avoids most “unknown device” errors and keeps the graphics drivers from conflicting.

Skip the graphics, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth rows that do not match your hardware. The AMD and NVIDIA packages are large, so use a stable connection.

Dell Inspiron 15R N5110 drivers for Windows 8 (64-bit)
Dell lists no separate chipset or USB 3.0 package for Windows 8, because Windows 8 already includes USB 3.0 support. Use the table below for graphics, audio, network and the remaining hardware. If a setup file refuses to start, right-click it and choose Properties > Compatibility and pick the Windows 8 option.

Common problems and fixes
The USB 3.0 port does not work on Windows 7
Windows 7 has no built-in USB 3.0 driver. Install the Wistron USB 3.0 Host Controller driver. If you are installing Windows 7 from a USB stick, plug it into a USB 2.0 port, because the Windows 7 installer cannot read USB 3.0 ports.
Two graphics adapters appear in Device Manager
That is normal on models with switchable graphics. The Intel chip handles everyday tasks and the dedicated NVIDIA or AMD chip is used for demanding apps, so install both drivers.
Wi-Fi is not detected
Check the Fn key combination for wireless on your keyboard, then confirm which card you have in Device Manager. Intel cards need the Intel package, and Dell Wireless cards need the matching Dell package (1701, 1702 or 1502).
There is no sound
Install the IDT 92HD87B1 audio driver, restart, and check that the right playback device is set as default in Control Panel > Sound.

Which graphics driver do I need?
Always install the Intel HD Graphics 3000 driver. If Device Manager also lists an NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M or an AMD Radeon HD chip, add the matching dedicated driver as well.
Do these drivers work on 32-bit Windows?
No. The packages on this page are for 64-bit Windows 7 and Windows 8 only.
Are there drivers for Windows 10?
Dell lists drivers only for Windows 7 and Windows 8 on this page. On newer Windows versions, let Windows Update install what it can, then try the Windows 8 packages above if something is still missing.
Do I have to install every driver on this page?
No. Install the chipset (Windows 7), the graphics drivers that match your hardware, audio, LAN, the one Wi-Fi package that matches your card, the touchpad and the card reader. The BIOS is optional.
Why do some downloads end in .exe?
Dell packages these drivers as self-extracting installers. Run the file, follow the prompts and restart when asked.
