Step 1. Confirm that Windows is 64-bit
Every driver on this page is 64-bit. On Windows 7 or 8, open Control Panel → System and read System type. On Windows 10, open Settings → System → About. If it says 32-bit, these installers will refuse to run, and you will need 32-bit drivers from the ASUS support site instead.
Step 2. Identify your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip
Some X200CA units use Qualcomm Atheros wireless hardware and others use Ralink. This is why the tables list two packages for the same component. To pick the correct one:
- Press Windows + R, type
devmgmt.mscand press Enter. - Expand Network adapters (Wi-Fi) or Bluetooth, or look under Other devices if the driver is missing.
- Right-click the device, choose Properties → Details, and select Hardware Ids from the drop-down list.
- Read the vendor code:

Step 3. Save your work and note your restore options
Driver installers are generally safe, but a bad graphics driver can leave you with a blank screen. Create a restore point (Control Panel → System → System protection → Create) before you begin, particularly on a machine that holds files you cannot replace.

Recommended installation order
If you have just reinstalled Windows, this order avoids most conflicts. Restart whenever the installer asks you to.
- Chipset (Windows 7 and 8).
- Graphics.
- Audio.
- LAN and Wi-Fi. If you have no internet connection yet, download everything on another computer and copy it over with a USB drive.
- USB 3.0 (Windows 7 only).
- Bluetooth and card reader.
- ATK package, then restart.
- Smart Gesture, Splendid and the wireless and charging utilities.
Each download is a .zip file. Right-click it, choose Extract All, open the extracted folder and run Setup.exe (or AsusSetup.exe). Run it as administrator if the installer asks.

ASUS X200CA drivers for Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
For Windows 8.1, ASUS published updated graphics, audio, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth packages. Windows 8.1 already includes built-in drivers for many other parts (such as chipset, Ethernet and the card reader). If a device still shows a warning icon in Device Manager, run Windows Update first, and only then try the matching Windows 8 package from the table above.

Using Windows 10
The X200CA was designed for Windows 8, but ASUS lists support for Windows 10 64-bit on its official page. At the time of writing, the official Windows 10 section offers a newer Conexant audio driver, the ASUS Smart Gesture touchpad driver, the ATK package and ASUS Splendid. Windows 10 normally installs graphics, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and chipset drivers by itself through Windows Update, so check there before installing anything manually. Troubleshooting
Wi-Fi does not appear or will not connect
Check that the wireless toggle is on (on most ASUS laptops this is Fn + F2, and it needs the ATK package). Then confirm that you installed the driver matching your chip: an Atheros driver will not work on a Ralink adapter and vice versa. Use the Hardware Ids method in Step 2.
The installer says the operating system is not supported
This usually means a 32-bit Windows or a package for a different Windows version. Recheck the system type. If you are on Windows 10 with a Windows 8 package, right-click the installer, open Properties → Compatibility, tick Run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows 8.
No sound after installing the audio driver
Right-click the speaker icon, open Playback devices, and make sure the speakers are the default device. If the device is missing, uninstall the audio device in Device Manager, tick Delete the driver software for this device if it appears, restart, and run the Conexant installer again.
Fn keys, brightness or touchpad gestures do nothing
Install the ATK package first, restart, and then install ASUS Smart Gesture. Installing them in the opposite order is a common reason the gestures settings do not appear.
The USB 3.0 port does not work on Windows 7
Install the Intel USB 3.0 driver from the Windows 7 table. Without it Windows 7 cannot use the USB 3.0 controller at all.
A device still has a yellow warning mark
Right-click it, open Properties → Details → Hardware Ids, and compare the code with the lists above. Searching for the hardware ID is more reliable than guessing from the device name.
Download safely
- Use the ASUS links on this page or the official ASUS support site. Avoid "driver updater" programs; they often bundle unwanted software.
- After downloading, right-click the installer, open Properties → Digital Signatures and check that a valid signature is present.
- Install one driver at a time and restart when asked, so you can tell which package caused a problem.
